There might be a substitute to coal, gas and nuclear power out there somewhere. But it isn’t chaotically intermittent wind and solar, whether with or without mythical mega-batteries.

Michael Moore’s Planet of the Humans has done a couple of things. First, it’s sent the crony capitalists profiteering from subsidised renewable energy into a tailspin and left the climate cult suffering conniptions. Second, it’s provided a platform for those with an actual understanding of how energy is produced, distributed and consumed, and an opportunity to educate the energy illiterate on why there is no such thing as an ‘inevitable transition’ to wind and solar.
