There will always be poverty, but rocketing power prices caused by subsidised wind and solar mean real punishment for the working poor.

Yes, the poor will always be with us. And governments are meant to protect not punish them. However, that’s precisely the result of policies that favour meaningless power sources at the expense of the reliable and affordable stuff.

The zealots that promote wind and solar couldn’t care less about the poor and obviously sleep like babies, despite the suffering meted out to the energy poor.

Freezing through a winter without light and power or sweltering through a summer without air-conditioning, shouldn’t be a feature of the world’s great superpower. But, in those states obsessed with wind and solar, it’s now a very real part of American life.
