A perpetual community fracture due to an unfortunate, yet interminable, mistake

I have to ask, regarding Falmouth Wins Turbine Nuisance Case (April 28 CCTs edition – http://www.capecodtimes.com/news/20170428/falmouth-wins-turbine-nuisance-case), ”what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?” Falmouth’s paradox has evolved over nearly seven years, has cost hundreds of thousands taxpayer dollars to continue, has consumed thousands of hours of sleeplessness and headaches for residents, town boards and Town Meeting.

For what?

The ill sited project’s community-wide impact is as incompatible now as it was in 2013 when the Board of Selectmen unanimously voted to remove the turbines and unify a divided community.

Alas, winds changed and now local town hall leaders won’t admit the mistake out of some misplaced sense of fiduciary self-righteousness. All the while, wind turbine neighbors won’t give in because their lives are dependant on the right to enjoy the use of their own property.
